Forget what you think you know about HIV/AIDS. It is no longer a disease hiding among certain at risk groups. Today, HIV/AIDS disregards gender, ethnicity, age and income level, and it is making its home in communities all across the South.
The AIDS Action Coalition is a nonprofit organization working to insure that individuals, young people and families living in North Alabama recognize the face of HIV/AIDS. We are committed to:
Improving the lives of those living with the disease,
Educating those who may have been exposed, but don't realize the risks
Stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS in the counties we serve
Advocating for more funding to support treatment and the search for a cure
