Physician Position:
AIDS Action Coalition(AAC)/Davis Clinic in Huntsville, Alabama is actively seeking BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician to provide primary care as well as HIV related care to 600 clients in an established Ryan White Care Act (federally funded) clinic. The AAC/Davis Clinic is a 501 c 3 , non-profit organization, serving 12 counties of North Alabama, providing primary/HIV related care to HIV+ clients, as well as supportive services and prevention education. The Physician will work with a dedicated team of clinical professionals including a Nurse Practitioner, nursing staff and social workers. Located in beautiful North Alabama, Huntsville has been named one of the Best Performing Cities of 2009 and the country's Top Mid-Sized City to launch and grow a business.

Special Events Assistant (Contract/Temporary, Part-time)

AIDS Action Coalition(AAC)/Davis Clinic in Huntsville, Alabama is actively seeking a Special Events Assistant to work on a contract/temporary basis. The Special Events Assistant will provide pre-event, on-site and post-event assistance for AIDS Action Coalition’s annual flagship fundraiser, Dining With Friends. This position will be focused on increasing connections with current donors and prospective donors, assisting specifically with the recruitment of individual hosts of third-party gatherings to be held in the months leading up to grand finale fundraiser, Dining With Friends Dessert Reception, on May 19th, 2012.

Ideal candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills. Must be able to speak effectively on phone, before groups and with high level donors, and interact constructively and well with others. Knowledge of broad themes in event production and management are preferred but not required. Self motivation, initiative and reliability are essential. Basic office skills, record keeping, and organization skills are required. Candidate must be able to handle information of a sensitive matter, such as confidential donor information and records.
