Throughout the month of December, organizations, governments, churches, families and community groups will be charged with taking initiative and providing leadership on the AIDS epidemic as part of a global challenge issued on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, 2007.

This year’s theme, “Stop AIDS: Keep The Promise” is an appeal to ensure that the promise of universal access to HIV treatment, care, support and prevention services is honored. Here in Huntsville and our surrounding communities, the AIDS Action Coalition will challenge businesses, corporations, churches, schools and community members to get involved in preventing the spread of this disease.
