HIV Youth Summit
The HIV/AIDS Youth Summit will be held on Oct. 30, 2007 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 607 Airport Road, Huntsville. More than 200 high school youth plan to attend the event, themed “Choosing Your Destiny.”

The summit will feature Marvelyn Brown, a compelling speaker and HIV positive young woman who has shared her personal story with thousands of young people. Featured in Newsweek and on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Brown will encourage teens to get involved in their community, to take responsibility for their choices and to learn more about HIV. Following Brown's opening session, youth will participate in breakout sessions led by other teens involved with the Alabama Focus Program.
