For the last decade, the number of newly reported cases of HIV in the U.S. has been around 40,000 annually. Out of these newly infected people, over 46% reside in the southern states. And, the demographics of the virus have shifted with more than half the newly reported cases each year being in people under the age of 25. The AIDS Action Coalition offers education and prevention programs that are designed to meet the needs of its audience. We have abstinence-based programs that are age appropriate for high schools and colleges, as well as a series of prevention programs geared toward parents. Our education team offers programs for groups as small as 10 and as large as several 100 people free of charge. To learn more about our education and prevention programs or to schedule a presentation, contact our Education and Outreach Manager at 256-536-4700. |
