What is Dining With Friends?
Dining With Friends is a fundraiser that benefits people that live with HIV in North Alabama. Supporters host dinner parties and charge $50 a person to attend. At the dinner party you are given a ticket to the dessert reception, which is organized by the AIDS Action Coalition. Then everyone that has hosted or attended a dinner party comes together for one fantastic night at the dessert reception.
If I don’t go to a dinner party can I still come to the dessert reception?
Of course you can! Tickets are available at www.diningwithfriends.org under the section labeled "Tickets."
Where is the Jackson Center?
The Jackson Center is next to the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Cummings Research Park. Specific directions can be found at the end of this page.
How do I bid on auction items?
On the back of your event ticket is your bid number. Use the number to bid on silent auction items throughout the evening.
What should I wear?
The official dress for the dessert reception is "urban chic," which means you will see a wide variety of clothing styles. We suggest you wear something that makes you feel comfortable and attractive.

From the East
From I-565, take exit 14 (Research Park Boulevard) North.
Stay in the right lane, go less than 0.5 miles and take the Madison Pike exit.
At the top of the ramp bear right and cross back over Research Park Boulevard.

From The North
From University Boulevard (U.S. 72), take Research Park Boulevard South.
Take the Madison Pike exit. At the top of the ramp turn left.

From The South or West
From Birmingham, take I-65 North past Decatur across the Tennessee River to the next exit, exit 340 (I-565 and Alabama highway 20).
There are 2 long exit lanes. Bear to the right onto I-565 East.
Take exit 14 (Research Park Boulevard) North.
There are two exit lanes, stay in the left one, go less than 0.5 miles and go under Research Park Boulevard to loop around up onto Research Park Boulevard North.
Take the first exit, Madison Pike.
At the top of the ramp bear right and cross back over Research Park Boulevard. See specific directions from Madison Pike below.
Specific Directions from Madison Pike
Go to the 3rd traffic light and turn right onto Voyager Way.
Drive about 0.5 mile to the traffic light at Explorer Blvd. Turn left.
Turn at the next street to the right, Discovery Drive.
From Discovery, turn left on Moquin.
HudsonAlpha is at Moquin and Genome Way.
