Understanding my Labs

For an HIV positive person, understanding labs can be a difficult and confusing process.
Lab work is drawn every three months. From the lab work, our physicians can tell many things about your body, the HIV virus and your overall health.

With the lab work, we test for signs of infection, low blood counts and sexually transmitted diseases.

We can also monitor the stability of your HIV. Below is a list of common lab tests that we order and what they tell us.
