Tuberculosis skin test (TB)
Injection of solution under the skin to screen for the presence of TB. A positive skin test indicates that you may have been infected with the TB bacteria. To determine if you have an active infection, a chest xray and/or sputum specimens may be obtained. The TB bacteria is an airborne bacteria that you can come in contact with from someone who is infected and sneezes, laughs, sings, talks or coughs.
