HIV/AIDS and the AAC Davis Clinic

In 2009 the AAC provided medical care to nearly 600 individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Of those almost 100 were newly identified HIV positives.

The youngest client currently receiving care at the AAC’s Davis Clinic is 15 years of age; the eldest is 68.

At AAC we currently care for 33 individuals between the ages of 15 and 24.

In a 5-day period in December 2008 our Davis Clinic staff treated 7 new HIV cases. These were newly diagnosed either through testing at our clinic, or through referrals from the county health department.

About fifty percent of individuals who receive care at the AAC Davis Clinic have no form of public or private insurance.
