According to the CDC there were 56,000 new cases of HIV reported in the U.S. last year.
Half of all new HIV cases in the U.S. are in young adults under the age of 24.
Each year approximately 46% of all new cases of HIV are reported in the South.
HIV/AIDS has claimed the lives of more than 550,000 Americans.
The disease is 100% preventable.
