Forget what you think you know about HIV/AIDS. It is no longer a disease hiding among certain “at risk” groups. Today, HIV/AIDS disregards gender, ethnicity, age and income level, and it is making its home in communities all across the South.

The AIDS Action Coalition is a nonprofit organization working to insure that individuals, young people and families living in North Alabama recognize the face of HIV/AIDS. We are committed to:

• improving the lives of those living with the disease,
  
• educating those who may have been exposed, but don’t realize the risks
  
• stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS in the counties we serve
  
• advocating for more funding to support treatment and the search for a cure
